Grand Hotel Abyss is written by John Pistelli. John Pistelli is a writer from Pittsburgh, PA, currently living in Minneapolis, MN. He is the author of four novels: The Ecstasy of Michaela, Portraits and Ashes, The Quarantine of St. Sebastian House, and The Class of 2000. He maintains an award-winning literary site where he writes essays mostly on classic books in all genres, at johnpistelli.com. A longtime teacher who holds a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Minnesota, he has shared the lectures for two full university literature courses on YouTube, where he also posts audio versions of his essays and fiction. As a creative writer, he has published short stories and poems in many journals.
