Chapter 5. | The Heresiarch

Anne Alterhaus sat on the school board. It was easy enough for her to make a few calls to guidance counselors and administrators and get Ash del Greco’s schedule rearranged. She now shared the same schedule with Ari Alterhaus and was therefore able to carry the injured girl’s books between classes, take notes for her, help her with trips to the restroom, and assist her at lunch. This came as a relief to Anne Alterhaus, a harried family attorney and public figure who kept long business hours.
