For almost a month, Jacob Morrow’s death became the local habitation of the always ambient culture war. What was wrong with our men? What was wrong with our comic books? Firearms were already prohibited on campus, a prohibition that had not forestalled the act. The university administration mulled compulsory psychotherapy sessions at least once a semester for all students. Simon Magnus, who’d had both the girl and the boy in Simon Magnus’s class, fell under investigation for having written Overman 3000, considering that its own themes were cited in in the girl’s bizarre video, not to mention her having claimed Simon Magnus to be her father, her father-mother, her all-gender all-parent.
